At Moving On Inverclyde, we are always looking for ways to challenge ourselves, come together, and raise vital funds to support the work we do across our community. Recently, our incredible team of service users and supporters did exactly that, by taking on the unforgettable Falkirk Wheel abseil.
The Falkirk Wheel is one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks, known as the world’s only rotating boat lift. Standing at an incredible height, it offered the perfect setting for a truly adrenaline-filled challenge, as participants descended around 100 feet from the top.
We had a fantastic turnout, with so many people coming along to take part and show their support. Whether it was those stepping out of their comfort zone to complete the abseil, or those cheering from the ground, it truly felt like a collective effort that reflected the strength and unity of our community.
So far, we are incredibly proud to share that our participants have raised over £1,200! This is an amazing achievement that will go directly towards supporting individuals on their recovery journey through our service. Every penny raised helps us continue to provide life-changing support, opportunities, and hope for those who need it most.
