Bev Thow

Chief Executive Officer

Bev joined Moving On in 2022 after serving on the board. With over 20 years’ experience in social care, employability, and recruitment, she has supported people in recovery, young people, and those with justice-involved backgrounds. Bev is passionate about creating purpose through employment and believes in recovery that builds futures.

Colleen Docherty

Delivery Manager

Colleen has been with Moving On since 2012 and holds degrees in Psychology and Alcohol & Drug Studies. She’s a qualified facilitator in SMART Recovery and CRAFT for families and friends. Colleen is deeply committed to supporting people in her local area to rebuild confidence and move forward.

Sean Gallacher

Senior Recovery Worker

Sean joined in 2018 and supports individuals through the Phase 2 programme. With a background in addiction support and outreach, Sean is trained in SMART Recovery, CRAFT, acupuncture, and holds an SVQ3 in Health & Social Care.

Michelle Grana

Recovery Worker

Michelle brings over 18 years’ experience in mental health and addictions and specialises in early intervention. She joined Moving On in 2021 and is passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals and live well in recovery.

Thomas Grierson

Recovery Worker

Thomas joined in 2024 after 10 years as a Support Practitioner. Having previously completed a placement with Moving On, he’s proud to return and help others begin and sustain their recovery journey.

Kirsty MacDonald

Recovery Worker

Kirsty joined in 2024 and has a background in community justice and wellbeing support. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Criminology and Psychological Studies and delivers recovery-focused work in HMP Greenock as well as community support.

Joseph Eardley

Recovery Worker

Joseph brings experience as a peer support lead and SMART Recovery facilitator. He supports people both in HMP Greenock and in aftercare, helping individuals sustain recovery through connection, structure, and hope.

Chelsea Clark

Recovery Worker

Chelsea joined after completing her HNC placement with us and was drawn to a career in recovery support. She brings energy, compassion, and a strong desire to help others move forward.

Melissa Pick

Events & Marketing Executive

Melissa supports our fundraising, events, and social media. She helps share the impact of recovery and raise vital funds to support our work across Inverclyde.

Nicola Belard

Administration Officer

Nicola joined in 2023 and is the friendly face who keeps the office running smoothly. She also supports wellbeing activities and is a trained NADA Acudetox practitioner, offering acupuncture for those feeling anxious about groups.

Kasia Taczkowska

Activities Coordinator

Kasia supports people in recovery through creative and meaningful activities. She’s passionate about mental health and is currently working toward further qualifications in counselling and social care. Kasia brings energy, compassion, and creativity to the team.
